Recruitment workers strip-off for TV show

Staff at a construction recruitment specialist in Milton Keynes are hoping to improve performance by going to work with no clothes on.

The team at Aspire Contract Services is taking part in a new TV show called Naked Office which aims to break down boundaries in the workplace by encouraging people to strip off.

The team at Aspire will hit the screens on June 1 on satellite channel Virgin 1 where you can watch them in action during a day of nude recruiting for clients like Balfour Beatty, Galliford Try and Willmott Dixon.

Aspire is one of six businesses from across all industries which have been brave enough to ditch their clothes to see if it nudity improves the office environment.

Leading behaviour change specialist Seven Suphi fronts the show.

She said: “For most people in the UK going to work in the nude is a very daunting prospect and I believe this extreme process will help them push their boundaries and become a close team that trust each other enough to get naked together.”

The programme makers state: “Every episode is filmed over a week and takes the colleagues on both a personal and professional journey as they build up to the day the entire office has been dreading.

“No clothes, no shame and nowhere to hide as they work completely nude on ‘Naked Friday’.”

The team at Aspire is understandably nervous about the show. A spokeswoman said: “We will probably watch it from behind a pillow.

“We got involved because working with a behaviour change  specialist like Seven was attractive to us as a young, expanding company.

“The programme makers will focus on the naked aspect but for us it was much more about how we operate as a business. I thinks they were disappointed we didn’t go completely naked.”
