The scheme has been designed to allow an existing theatre block on the site to continue to operate during construction.
The winning contractor will build the new steel frame building over and around the existing block and complete the shell before demolishing elements of the existing structure.
Project agent Sweett will procure the building through a two stage process.
The project will deliver a consolidated critical care facility at Kings College Hospital Denmark Hill Campus in line with current Department of Health guidelines and will develop the hospital as a Major Trauma Centre.
Firms have until 22 February to express an interest for invitation to tender a month later. King’s hopes the contract will be let by August.
