Britannia Construction had to dismantle and start rebuilding the Cineworld complex in St Neots in May when it was found to be 75cm out of place.
The cinema is now being rebuilt but has found to be 30cm out of line the other way.
Developers Turnstone Estates and architects January Consultants have now submitted adjusted plans to the local council to cover the mistake.
Turnstone is taking no chances following intense scrutiny from local residents.
Managing director Chris Goldsmith told the Cambridge News: “It’s all to do with regularising the building. It’s imperceptible really.
“But given the building being under such high scrutiny we thought we should regularise it.
“We are doing more than I have ever done and probably more than the council has ever done on a planning application.
“We know that there are a few people locally who are very concerned so we are doing whatever we can to put their minds at rest.”
The application requests to change previously approved drawings so that they reflect what has actually been built.
They also seek a change to the layout of the windows.
A spokesman for Huntingdonshire District Council said: “The council has received three applications for non material amendments to the planning permission previously granted.
“Two of the applications are expected to be determined by August 7, 2013, and the third application was submitted a week later and is due to be determined by August, 14, 2013.”
