Building envelope specialist Lakesmere has secured the façade package from St. George Plc for the developer’s latest phase of its high-rise Battersea Reach development in London.

The contract will be delivered by Lakesmere’s specialist glass façade team McMullen Facades Ltd.

Work is expected to start in January and the McMullen team will be responsible for the design and installation of the full façade package of the new block, which will include curtain walling, windows, terracotta panels and glass reinforced concrete.

The Battersea deal is the latest London project to be undertaken by Lakesmere and the McMullen team is still on site at Project Altitude – a new 27 storey luxury accommodation development for Barratt Homes in Aldgate

The firm is also installing the full vertical unitised envelope to the new One Commercial Street development of luxury apartments for Redrow Homes.

Outside of London, Lakesmere has won the cladding deal on BAM’s £61m National Graphene Institute in Manchester with work set to start on site in early 2014.
