Construction will now begin on phase 1A of the £750m Oxford Road mixed-use development that offers office, retail, serviced apartments and flats.
The initial work will involve two buildings, one 12-storey, the second ranging from 13 to 17 storeys, providing 600 serviced flats
The higher block will also provide retail and start-up commercial space at ground and mezzanine floor with new public realm space, including walkways along the River Medlock.
Designed to appeal to postgraduate and mature students, Select’s Vita properties at Circle Square buildings will also offer communal hub spaces, with media rooms, large private gym, private dining areas, lounges, extensive social areas and private study areas.
Eventually the 2.3m sq ft neighbourhood will include residential, commercial and public space amenities as well as a shops. It will be delivered in five phases due to complete in 2025.
