A demolition and earthworks specialist is setting up a team of tradespeople to oversee projects on commercial properties and domestic homes.

Huntingdon based Mick George Ltd has 35-years experience in the construction industry.

And the launch of ‘Mick’s Mates’ will make that expertise available to smaller clients.

The team are specialists in multiple trade disciplines and will project manage any installation works from start to finish, including planning applications and sourcing products.

Jon Stump, Finance Director at Mick George Ltd said: ‘’Within the business we have a wealth of skillsets that span across a variety of disciplines and we are keen to utilise this wherever possible, especially if it enhances our service and benefits our customers.

“Research suggests that the housing market is particularly buoyant at present with over £27 billion spent on housing related purchases, of which £3.2 billion accounts for the East of England where we primarily operate.

“On top of that, 53,000 planning applications in the region were submitted, which all in all tells us that there is a very real demand for this service.’’

Mark Millard, of Warboys, Peterborough is the first customer to use the ‘Mick’s Mates’ service.

He said: “The transformation has been incredible. But, equally as impressive, is the service.

“From beginning to end, we’ve been frequently liaising on design, timescales and costs, so always felt in control of the project. Remarkably, the project was complete in one week.’’
