Wates will deliver the new Bushey development of 95 care home units under a £19m contract.

This will include 38 studio apartments, 40 one-bedroom apartments, 12 specialist dementia studios, five deluxe one-bedroom apartments and adjoining communal amenities.

The project is the second senior living development Wates will deliver on Signature’s behalf in Hertfordshire following the contractor’s completion of the luxury.

Working for Signature, Wates completed the Bentley House scheme in Hertford in 2015 and is presently on site with a £16m, 96-bedroom project at Sunninghill in Berkshire and an £18m four-storey 92-bedroom care home in Camberley, both of which are due for completion this year.

Designed by PRP Architects, the new development in Bushey is now under construction and is due to be handed over by Wates in summer 2018.
