The design and build contract for the Worcestershire Parkway Regional Interchange Station scheme is thought to be worth around £22m.
Buckingham Group will build a single platform on the Cotswold Line and two platforms on the Birmingham to Bristol Line.
The proposed station in Norton would include up to 500 car parking spaces, bus stops and a taxi rank.
Site preparation and final design work for the station has just got underway following planning approval last month.
Construction is due to commence this Autumn. The station will be completed and opened in Winter 2018/19.
Marc Riley, Framework Director for Rail at Buckingham Group, said the latest project built on a strong track-record for delivering complex rail projects, such as the redevelopment of Wakefield Westgate Station, Salford Crescent Station and the £110m London Luton airport transformation.
