The Centre for Student Life is a major investment in the student experience and part of the University’s biggest campus upgrade in a generation.
Work is due to start later this year so the new facility can be completed for the 2019/20 academic year.
Craig Allen, construction director for BAM, said: “Our appointment reflects the strength of the relationship we forged with Cardiff University working with them on the Hadyn Ellis and CUBRIC buildings.
The student centre will create a central hub for student support services as well as offering modern, flexible social learning spaces and a technology-rich 550-seat lecture theatre.
It will make support services more accessible to students, including those based outside the Centre’s Cathays Park location.
The Centre is part of an ongoing £600m investment in the university’s campus, including £260m to provide world leading facilities for our students.
