The JMS M&E rental activity operates from locations in Harpenden and Leeds and will be integrated into Vp’s specialist tool hire business Hire Station.
Jeremy Pilkington, Chairman of Vp plc, said: “We are very pleased to welcome the JMS M&E team to the Vp Group.
“This acquisition will provide additional strength to our successful Hire Station specialist businesses.”
JMS Powered Access will retain one of the largest fleets of low level access in the UK alongside UK-wide hire of track mounted access, telehandlers, mini diggers, dumpers and deskgliders.
It will continue to operate from depots in Harpenden and Leeds as well as its office based at Pinewood Studios near West London.
Mark Jackson, managing director of JMS said the deal would allow the firm to focus and expand its range of low level access, scissor and booms through its remaining powered access division.
He said: “We’re excited for the future of JMS Powered Access. The division has grown rapidly in recent years and we’re looking forward to offering our customers an even better service and expanded product range with the same great team”.
Mike Howells, JMS Operations Director, added “We’d like to thank our staff and customers of our M&E division for their support and business over the years”.
