The new Bevis Marks House plan proposes to replace a series of existing buildings at 21-22 Bevis Marks and 24 Bevis Marks.
The design by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates features a distinct shape with shifted stacks of floors.
A planning application was first submitted three years ago for the development and was approved by the City of London’s Planning and Transportation Committee, but the scheme was not able to progress due to constraints associated with adjacent land ownerships.
The new 19 storey building will be slightly taller and will be built next to the Can of Ham development at 60-70 St Mary Axe.
The design has been supported by Arup as M&E and structural consultant and targets a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating.
