Administrators from Begbies Traynor are now handling the firm’s affairs with around 18 staff jobs under threat and many more site workers impacted.
The flat and pitched roofing specialist recently diversified into fitting wall insulation and photo-voltaics as part of a business expansion plan.
Superior Roofing is presently working on renovation works to the Royal Opera House and recently worked on the roof of the Commonwealth Institute, now home to the Design Museum London, which had gained a name as ‘the roof that could not be fixed’.
Founded in 2001, Superior Roofing grew from a small family business into one of the leading roofing contractors within the South East.
The firm expanded rapidly after construction director Paul Miller took over control from Superior Roofing founder Edward Sinclair.
This step change saw it work with the likes of Keepmoat, Mace, Mears, Kiers, McAlpine and T&B Contractors as well as local authorities.
