The new kitchens at Poulson House are intended for students attending Staffordshire or Keele Universities.
The apartments are completely self-contained, boasting their own en suites and kitchen facilities, with the compact units from Elfin chosen to provide residents dry and refrigerated food storage, as well as full cooking facilities.
The 1000mm wide Economy Plus kitchens were each supplied with an integrated refrigerator, large storage drawer, sink and drainer, tap, 20L combination microwave oven and grill, plus a built-in hotplate.
Principal building contractors for the Poulson House project were Kettle and Talbot.
Site Manager, Craig Hancock said: “Poulson House was on a strict timescale in order to be delivered in time for the start of academic year. So, we needed to have suppliers that were flexible and reliable to work with; Elfin Kitchens turned out to be both these things – and more.
“During the entire fit-out, we worked with Elfin to deliver a phased approach, starting at the top floor apartments and working our way down.
“This required the kitchens to be delivered in batches, on time and to a fixed schedule. Elfin not only ensured every kitchen arrived when it needed to, but they were also on hand to help take the products into the building and ensure they were correctly unpacked and installed.
“It really was an exceptional service.”
