O’Brien will join from McLaren Construction where he was Operations Director .
He will join Simons in September.

“We’re looking forward to September when he’ll join the team and help drive further successes within this important sector.”
O’Brien was originally trained as a civil engineer working on road, rail and tunnelling projects with Balfour Beatty and Hochtief.
His building experience was then developed with contractors including Buckingham, where he led projects including the construction of the Stadium MK, Milton Keynes and the London 2012 Olympics Handball Arena.
Prior to joining McLaren, he spent more than four years in Australia, working on major schemes such as Elizabeth Quay in Perth.
