Jones joined Amey in September 2017 from Carillion where he was a regional director.
At Amey he was in charge of growing the local authority highways market.
Parent company Ferrovial confirmed yesterday that it is putting Amey and the rest of the global support services business up for sale.
Liberty has grown by 20% and secured 27 contracts worth more than £70m this year.
It has its headquarters in Liverpool and ten offices across the country employing nearly 1,000 staff.
Liberty is a multi-disciplinary property services specialist offering expertise in gas, heating and electrical installations, building maintenance and renewable energies to clients nationwide.
