Over 23 contractors are facing a fight to retain places on one of London’s biggest construction frameworks.

The London Construction Programme major works framework is up for renewal and this time offers a potential pipeline of £5bn over the next five years.

Firms are now being invited to bid for places to deliver five different projects types covering: housing; education and leisure; capital projects: historical and heritage works; and highway and public realm projects.

The second generation framework will also be organised into project value lots from £1m to more than £20m.

It will replace the existing arrangement that expires in May. The present panel for the highest value works lot of over £5m is made up of Engie, Kier, Higgins, Osborne, Wates and Willmott Dixon.

2014-2019 framework partners

Architectural Decorators, Barnes Construction, Beardwell Construction, Cityline Construction, Cosmur Construction (London), Cuttle Construction, Durkan, Geoffrey Osborne, Higgins, Interserve, K & A Construction, ENGIE, Kier, Kind Diamond Build Consortium, Lengard, Mulalley, Sandwood Design and Build, Shaylor, Standage & Co, T&B (Contractors), Vinci, Wates, Willmott Dixon.

North London’s Haringey Council is running the procurement competition and has given firms until 23 March to submit expressions of interest.

Succesfull firms can be called-off for works or mini competitions by all 33 London authorities and councils in the Home Counties including Berkshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Kent, Surrey and Sussex.

Fims can register an interest on the procurement portal.
