Craig McGilvray has joined as chief executive officer of FGS UK, which was formerly part of Saint-Gobain’s Glassolutions Installation business and was acquired in August 2018 by private investment firm CoBe Capital.
He will work alongside Dirk Jaspers, director of operations Europe at CoBe Capital who is acting managing director of FGS following the acquisition.
McGilvray said: “I’m joining FGS at an exciting stage in its development. It has been operating for more than 25 years partnering with main contractors, facilities managers and property owners to provide a complete ‘glazing’ building life cycle solution.
“Now as an independent company it can continue to develop into a sustainable and successful business in the long term, delivering the best outcome for its customers and staff alike.”
Previously as managing director of Balfour’s gas and water business, he was responsible for the leadership, strategy and growth of the £350m-revenue contractor delivering engineering and project services to major UK and Irish utilities.
Prior to this, he was CEO of Emprise Services, a UK-based cleaning and security contractor, where he nearly doubled revenue and increased profitability.
Before that he was CEO of Alfred McAlpine’s business services arm.
