Developer Westfield said specialist contractors should approach major tenants directly as the main shell-and-core approaches completion.

Key retailers who have taken space in the scheme include John Lewis, Marks & Spencer, Waitrose, Primark, Next, Forever 21, Topshop, H&M, Monsoon, River Island, WH Smith, Boots and Esprit.

A Westfield spokeswoman said: “Fit-out works will increase towards the end of this year and contractors should make their representation to the retailers directly.”

Westfield is also letting contracts for the construction of a new Premier Inn hotel at the site.

The developer, which is understood to be acting as main contractor on the hotel, said: “Any contractor interested should make contact.”
