Around 20 staff were evacuated from the building in Guildford at about 3.45pm on Thursday as fire crews were called out to the store and warehouse.
The blaze was believed to have started near the kitchen area of the building, quickly spreading and causing damage to the roof area.
Eight fire engines were initially on the scene as well as police cars and an ambulance, and crews used a hydraulic lift and three hose reels to put out the flames.
Passer-by Ade Goldsmith told Get Surrey: “I was driving past on my way to pick up my pizza from Domino’s and there were a lot of people in the middle of the road.
“The whole building was alight – it was the biggest fire I’ve ever seen. As I got there the fire engines were just turning up.”
