Connaught had worked with A1 since 2005 but its contract was terminated after the firm fell into administration and the work has now gone to Bullock.
Lovell has bought most of Connaught’s ongoing contracts from the administrators and has agreed to finish off all work in progress by the end of this week.
Director of Technical and Housing Services Don Spittlehouse said: “Negotiations between A1 Housing and Bullock Construction have been ongoing for several weeks and as a result of Connaught being placed into administration, Bullock will now take over all existing contracts in Bassetlaw.
“We anticipate a slight disruption of services over the coming weeks, however, tenants should not be adversely affected during this transitional period.
“We are working closely with Bullock Construction, Bassetlaw District Council and our existing contractors and will endeavour to inform tenants of any further developments as they arise.”
Bullock’s regional director, Mick Pickersgill, said: “We are delighted that A1 Housing Bassetlaw has appointed us on this prestigious programme of work.
“Clearly the company will require additional resources to deliver the programme and this is currently under review.”
