The project will be carried out in two phases and under the first phase Galliford Try will undertake the construction of the new hospital next to the site of the current hospital building.

During the second phase the contractor will decant staff and patients to demolish the existing hospital ahead of landscaping of the site.

The new hospital is expected to achieve a BREEAM rating of “Excellent.”

Work on site will commence in October with completion of the first phase in July 2012 and the second phase in July 2013.
