The contractor, which is owned by a Danish firm, will design and build the two storey school, which will be formed from pre-cast units linked by timber frame structures.
Pihl UK, director William Aird Buist said the school building reflected Pihl’s Scandinavian heritage in design and material usage.
The Cowes One School Pathfinder project, which escaped the government’s Building Schools for the Future axe, is expected to be completed during 2012.
