The £10m Portslade Academy job in Brighton was unveiled at the time of the relaunch of the academies framework.
Now four other deals worth up to £85m have been released to go out to the dozen contractors on the southern region framework before the end of July.
A further 11 schemes have been named, although details of when they are up for bid have yet to be released.
Eventually 28 schemes worth £250m will be released in the North, and a further 43 schemes worth £550m will be allocated for the south.
Details of plans for academies in the north have yet to be released, apart from the academy in Bolton highlighted at the time of the Government’s relaunch of the academies programme.
PfS will run the procurement until the quango is shut down and merged into the new Education Funding Agency next year.
