St Andrew’s Healthcare submitted the plans for the 285,000 sq ft building, which will provide accommodation for 180 residents, in Northampton.
The project is being developed on the site of the former Cliftonville Middle School next to William Wake House, an existing 130-bed mental health centre, and is designed to be in keeping with the historic buildings on the site.
Adrian Arnold, WNDC’s Director of Planning Services said: “This development represents a major investment in Northampton, and will support the creation of new jobs for local people.
“It will be a high quality and tasteful building, supporting St Andrew’s Healthcare to provide important services to the local community.”
