Development plans include 500,000sq ft of warehousing and offices, along with a waste recycling centre on the 420-acre park.
If permission is granted the joint venture hopes to have the facility up and running by the end of 2012.
ASDA currently has 24 distribution centres servicing its stores across the UK.
Ant Everett, head of network development for ASDA Distribution, said: “Since the successful acquisition by ASDA of the Netto business in 2010, the company has identified a shortfall in capacity in the North West and Yorkshire in its specialist warehouse provision.
“We need a new warehouse in the North West to service our growing number of stores and Kingsway’s location and the fact that it has direct access to the M62 makes it ideal to service the whole of the north of England.”
