The FCC Elliott joint venture was originally awarded the job but the Spaniards are now going it alone after Elliott went into administration in May.
Eliiott was also working on the Athletes Village at the time of its failure and the firm’s £30m contract has been taken over by Lend Lease.
FCC now has a 300-strong team on site working on the fit-out, commissioning and testing of the International Broadcast Centre which was structurally completed by Carillion last month.
The fit-out is due to be completed by April 2012 to provide workspace for over 20,000 broadcasters, photographers and journalists from all over the world.
