The contractor has established a close relationship on the site with the client having been instrumental in building the vast book store.

The scope of works is the design and construction of a 25m tall building to house an integrated materials handling system, which will be let as a separate concurrent contract, for the storage and retrieval of the British Library’s vast collection of newspapers.

The new building will be airtight with a low oxygen air system yo reduce the risk of fire.
