Wates is planning to boost market share across the East and West Midlands and is targeting work in the commercial, higher education and senior living sectors.

Hands has been with Wates for 10 years since joining as a quantity surveyor in 2001 before steadily rising to his most recent position as Regional Commercial Manager.

Phil Harrison, Managing Director for Wates Construction in the Midlands and North said: “As well as having in-depth knowledge of Wates, Andy has shown great enthusiasm and dedication for improving the service we offer to clients and has significantly contributed to the region’s successes to date.

“He was a natural choice to take over the day to day running of the team in the Midlands.”
