The £50m project will involve building 510 single living accommodation units and refurbishing other homes at the Neptune Village area of the navy and marine base.
The Defence Infrastructure Organisation expects the job to be delivered in distinct phases over four years, with work getting underway in a year’s time.
An accommodation block for junior rates will be completed by April 2014 and the final accommodation block is due to be ready for occupancy by January 2017.
Firms have until 21 November to complete PQQs so that invitations to tender can be issued in next April.
