The Welsh Government has decided to merge the north and mid Wales regions into a single framework in the hope of greater cost savings from April.
Its southern region will continue to be let as a separate deal.
Details of the plans will be released at two suppliers day meetings, one in Powys, the other in Conwy.
The framework will involve civil, highways, and structures engineering for new highway construction works, improvement works and maintenance renewals.
Interested firms are also being asked to fill in a questionnaire exploring best practice procurement methods.
