The £15m turnover contractor was established by Ian Winfield during 2000 and specialised in commercial, retail, education and healthcare work.

Matt Ingram and John Whitfield, partners at corporate restructuring business MCR are handling the affairs of the building contractor.

Heanor-headquartered Winfield Construction operated in the construction sector and ceased to trade on appointment, said administrators.

The joint administrators said: “We are in the process of reviewing the company’s contracts and completing an orderly disposal of the company’s assets.”
