The Smarte East Alliance is a four-year deal covering construction work potentially worth £500m during the next four years.

It is an alliance between three East of England local authorities, Essex, Hertfordshire and Suffolk County Councils.

The authorities now want a single operator to handle project management, CDM co-ordination and cost management.

The contract is listed as worth from £7m to £33m.
