Waltho joined the Aecom-owned firm in 1996 and has been head of Davis Langdon’s newly formed infrastructure practice since 2008.
During that time the infrastructure team doubled in size and worked on projects like HS2, Crossrail, Abu Dhabi International Airport and Aero Engine Controls’ new Birmingham headquarters.
Waltho said: “Davis Langdon has some of the very best cost, program and consultancy professionals in the industry.
“Add to that Aecom’s world-class engineers, designers, planners and economists, and we have an incredibly powerful offer for clients across the UK and Europe.
“I am delighted to have the opportunity to lead the growth of Davis Langdon’s business in Europe while continuing to increase our share of the UK market.”
Steve Morriss, Aecom’s Chief Executive for Europe said: “Steve brings a wealth of experience to the role, and his vast knowledge of the infrastructure sector will ensure we build on the success we have already achieved in the UK and across Europe, especially in the rapidly developing markets of Turkey, Romania, Poland and Russia.
“I’m looking forward to working closely with him to help us deliver the unique multi-disciplinary offering that Aecom is able to offer our clients.”
