The firm lodged an appeal to the Planning Inspectorate for Wales after Flintshire Council’s planning committee deferred a vote on the site last December.
The inspector has now recommended that outline planning permission be granted subject to certain conditions.
Development Securities has been advised by the Welsh Government that the Welsh Minister for Environment, Sustainability and Housing is ‘minded to accept’ the inspector’s recommendation subject to some revisions to the Section 106 and the affordable housing condition.
Development Securities believes that these revisions can be agreed shortly.
In May 2002 Development Securities submitted an application for a 350,000sq ft business park on the site, which was recently replaced by this residential planning application.
