The 1970s Arup Building is home to the Museum of Zoology, the Babbage lecture theatre and the Department of Materials Science and Metallurgy.
The department plans to relocate in 2013 and the university is taking the opportunity to refurbish and upgrade the whole of the 150,000 sq ft Arup Building.
A consultant design team has been appointed directly by the University to progress the design concept and a building contractor will now be selected to be engaged on a 2-stage develop and construct contract.
Tony Gee of Davis Langdon is acting as the client agent on the job and can be contacted on email: [email protected]
