Bison believes the JCB JZ140 to be the perfect specification for the rental industry.
Plant Manager at Bison Plant, Guy Tomblin said: “We were one of the very first major hirers to appreciate the full potential of zero tailswing on house building sites – where space is at premium but safety and minimal damage are of paramount importance.
“We have seen that once our customers use zero tailswing, they will not go back.
“Traditionally we have operated competitive equipment but when we tested this latest JCB JZ140 we quickly recognised it was set up just right for our business and a machine we could truly put our faith in.
“Furthermore, we are delighted to support a British manufacturer and British jobs in the testing financial climate. The model has a really robust undercarriage and the performance and operator environment are perfect for a zero tailswing excavator in the UK rental market.”
Bison had previous used Kubota for mini excavators and New Holland for larger machines.
JCB’s UK & Ireland Sales Director Yvette Henshall-Bell said: “The 14-tonne excavator market is a highly competitive one and we know that Bison Plant has been extensive in its evaluation of the machines available.”
JCB has seen a growing trend towards zero tailswing excavators purchased by hire firms with a high proportion of house builders in their client base.
