Mace will refurbish a 110,000 sq ft office building in Bexleyheath, which has stood empty for five years, and build a 20,000 sq ft extension at the rear of the 1980s building.
The contract involves a full turnkey service including provision of furniture, fixtures and equipment.
Mace will also take on the responsibility of move management on the project. Upon completion, London Borough of Bexley will move from its four main office sites across the Borough to unify under one roof.
Cllr Colin Campbell, deputy council leader of the London Borough of Bexley, said: “We are delighted to have Mace as our main contractor for this important project, which will help stimulate over £100m investment in Bexleyheath town centre.
“Achieving a single location is an important element in our efficiency programme and will help us reduce our running costs by well over £1m a year.
“We will pay for building and its refurbishment by selling our current offices sites around the Borough.”
