The new building will replace the current radiotherapy centre at Essex County Hospital, and will incorporate five ‘bunkers’.

Interserve’s Cambridge office will manage the job, supported by Arup, Gleeds and Interserve’s engineering services arm, on the complex M&E package.

The new centre building is expected to be completed before the end of next year and will start treating its first patients in early 2014.
