Designed by Aukett Fitzroy Robinson and Buro Happold, the Aspire office project is located at the intersection of Temple Street and Victoria Street in the city’s business district.
A spokesman for the developer said they would be aiming for a element of pre-let before starting the project in around 12 months time. Talks about appointing a contractor for a contract likely to be worth around £30m will begin early next year.
Luke Schuberth, managing director at Aukett Fitzroy Robinson, said: “This scheme is an important landmark for Bristol and will make a significant contribution to the region’s commercial offering.
“The unique flexibility of this design makes it truly stand out from its peer developments, I am not aware of another building like it in the UK.”
Each floor plate on every level will be designed to be capable of running a completely separate environmental system. This will enable the base design to achieve a BREEAM rating of ‘Outstanding’, based on single occupancy, and ‘Excellent’ with multiple lettings.
