Sir Robert McAlpine’s Tim Hare has won the coveted title of Construction Manager of the Year for the part he played in the conversion of the grade II listed former Regent Palace Hotel in Piccadilly, London.

Hare led the project team that delivered the £165m Quadrant 3 redevelopment four months ahead of schedule and 20% under budget without a single reportable accident in over 2 million construction man hours.

Chris Blythe Chief Executive at the CIOB said: “Quiet, level headed and sure, he dominated the project through collaboration. He recognised the contribution each member of his team and the wider site workforce could make, and gave them the space and the belief to give their best.”
