Bristol developer Ashfield Land is expected to sign a contract shortly with the aim of starting building work in the spring, according to a source.
The source told the Enquirer: “All the usual suspects pitched for this, but the feeling is ISG is on the verge of taking the job.”
ISG is bidding against Kier, McLaren, Vinci and Wates for the Regent Circus project, which includes a 52,000 sq ft Morrison’s store, eight restaurants, a 30,000 sq ft six-screen Cineworld cinema and a 450-space car park.
The site was recently cleared by demolition contractor Wring to make way for the new complex.
