The university wants a contractor to redevelop the Chamberlain block at The Vale student village.
The 1960s built Chamberlain block has been empty since 2006.
Work will involve demolition of the existing building and construction of a 21-storey tower alongside three smaller blocks providing 725 new student bedrooms.
