Concrete silo demolition fails to go to plan: video

Australian demolition contractors were left red-faced after a controlled explosion failed to bring down a huge concrete silo.

The 4,000t building near Brisbane was left looking more like the leaning Tower of Pisa after being left tilted at a precarious angle after the explosion.

In the end, the job fell to a brave excavator driver to chip away at the base of the structure to complete the task.
