The One Station Square scheme, designed by architects Pringle Brandon Perkins & Will, comprises a six-storey building with 129,000 sq ft of office space, as well as rooftop terraces and large reception areas.
Before work starts on the site opposite Cambridge station existing railway offices and an Cityroomz hotel will need to be demolished. Building work should start in September.
The BREEAM ‘excellent’-rated scheme forms part of CB1, the new mixed-use city quarter being planned by the local developer.
This includes plans to build a new Accor hotel and 3,000-space cycle park at the railway station site and remodel the square.
Both schemes have just gained planning consent.
