A fierce blaze broke out on the roof of the £125m project in Glasgow in June.
It was caused by a spark from a welder’s torch and took 40 firefighters to put out.
Lend Lease and its subcontractors have been battling to get the job back on schedule ever since.
Local reports last week said the race to open the arena in time for Rod Stewart on September 30 would go “right down to the wire”.
But the Enquirer understands the arena owners are now confident of making the deadline.
One source close to the project said: “The owners have been liaising closely with the site team and now seem confident that the job will open on time despite the fire.
“Lend Lease and its subcontractors have been working flat-out and those efforts look to be rewarded with the arena being ready in time for Rod.”
It is believed the fire caused around £5m worth of damage.
