The jv – known as Developer Foxdenton LLP – wants to build a new business park offering high-quality warehouse, manufacturing and office space alongside 500 family homes.
The 49-hectare site at Chadderton on the western side of Oldham has been earmarked for residential and employment development by Oldham Council.
The proposals are expected to create more than 1,500 new full-time jobs plus 165 construction jobs.
Michael Coulter of Foxdenton LLP said: “These plans will create a sustainable and thriving community with significant benefits to the local economy through new employment opportunities and high-quality new housing which will both meet the needs of existing residents and attract new people to the area.”
The proposed residential development of up to 500 homes will offer a mix of semi-detached, detached and mews homes.
The application includes a new link road through the site which will help reduce traffic on Foxdenton Lane. In addition, a number of new vehicle access points to the site from the local road network are proposed.
