The framework will cover projects worth more than £9m and offers a projected spend of £250m-£1bn over the next four years.
Existing high-value framework partners Kier, Laing O’Rourke, Lend Lease, Morgan Sindall and Wates now face a battle to retain their places on one of the UK’s biggest agreements covering building projects.
NWCH has delivered more than 121 projects worth £769m so far, covering Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside and Cheshire.
Recent major projects either commissioned or under consideration include Manchester’s leisure centre programme, Chester Theatre and Library and a £6m training facility at Bury for Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue.
This time round the high-value framework will be divided into two lots covering design and build and construction-only work.
