Surveying work has now started to assess the scale of the work needed on the residential towers.
The tower blocks included in the programme are:
- Evenlode Tower, Blackbird Leys
- Foresters Tower, Wood Farm
- Hockmore Tower, Cowley
- Plowmans Tower, Northway
- Windrush Tower, Blackbird Leys
The first formal consultation with residents about the plans will start next month.
Councillor Scott Seamons, Board Member for Housing, said: “This project will significantly improve residents living environment here in our city and extend the lifespan of the properties.”
Oxford City Council, as owner and managing agent of the blocks, is working in partnership with EC Harris to design the improvement works.
