A company spokeswoman confirmed to the Enquirer that Darren Palin is no longer with the firm.

The moves follows a turbulent summer which saw Silverdell’s shares suspended and its Kitsons Environmental Europe division briefly go into administration.

Website DemolitionNews.com said Palin could be replaced by Dave Jameson who joined the company earlier this year from Lee Demolition where he had been managing director.

Palin is a well-known figure in the demolition industry.

He joined EDS from Controlled Demolition and was appointed managing director of EDS in 2007.

The firm was bought be Silverdell in 2012 for £15m.
