The “Hercules” joint venture wants to set-up a local supply chain for the planned new Defence College of Technical Training at MoD Lyneham.

Trade contractors from Swindon can find out about work opportunities at a free event on Tuesday 18 March at The Wiltshire Golf Club, Swindon, hosted by Constructionline.

The project includes the refurbishment of 73,000sq m of existing building stock and constructing 56,000sq m of new build in addition to demolition, infrastructure works (including utilities, drainage, roads, car parks, mechanical & electrical, and security), external and internal training areas, sports pitches, vehicle recovery training facility and landscaping.

Richard Collin, construction manager at Hercules, said: “Working with a local supply chain is at the heart of the Hercules procurement plan.

“This approach will contribute to the local economy and Constructionline’s event will help us access a range of professionals to help establish our local supply chain.”
